Na viralnom snimku koji je podelio na mrežama vidi se smeđa medvedica kako se slobodno kreće obalom sa svoja tri mladunca, samo nekoliko koraka dalje od fotografa.

Viđeno preko 6 miliona puta: "Smeđa medvedica dovodi mladunce do mene"

Kako prenosi Newsweek, snimak je ekspresno osvojio mreže i pregledan je više od 6,3 miliona puta.

Kuper je otkrio da se sve dogodilo pre mesec dana, na zapadnoj obali ostrva Kodijak, delu koji lokalci nazivaju "medveđa obala" zbog čestih viđenja ovih životinja.

Kao vodič sa više od deset godina iskustva u vođenju tura po divljini Aljaske, naglašava da bliski susreti s medvedima mogu biti izuzetno opasni ako ne razumete njihovo ponašanje.

“Važno je da ljudi znaju koliko je rizično biti ovako blizu medvedima ako nemate znanje, iskustvo i poštovanje prema njihovom prostoru”, rekao je Kuper.

Camping in back country of Alaska, I walked down to the beach, sat down to watch the sunset. Looked to my left and this beautiful brown bear and her 3 cubs were walking right up to me. I didn’t want to startle her but I made sure she knew I was there and let her walk right by me. One of the cubs locked in on my shoe as it walked past, clearly wanting to play with it so I pulled my leg back and they carried on their way down the beach. Such an insane encounter. Zalazak sunca, tišina i - medvedica

U trenutku susreta, Kuper je sedeo na plaži posmatrajući zalazak sunca. Nije ni slutio da će iz trave i iza oborenih stabala izroniti životinja koja bi mogla da ga ubije u sekundi.

“Nisam hteo da je uplašim, ali sam želeo da zna da sam tu. Samo sam sedeo i pustio je da prođe”, ispričao je.

U jednom trenutku, medvedica je pogledala pravo u kameru, dok su njena tri mladunca veselo trčkarala po obali. Iako neverovatno smiren, Kuper priznaje da ovakav susret nije planirao niti bi ikada želeo da ga ponovi.

“Bio sam s prijateljima, u sklopu jedne humanitarne kampanje. Nisam imao pojma da su tu, samo sam uživao u trenutku. Kad sam je ugledao, već je bilo kasno da se sklonim.”

Alaskan Brown bear brings her cubs over to us after being chased by a big boar on the coast of Alaska. *I am a professional bear guide with over 10 years of experience do not attempt* We set up in low tide viewing this bear from about 100 yards away, then from the other side of ther, a boar (male brown bear) chased her and her cubs in our direction. Making sure to not startle her by standing and moving around, we stayed put. I spoke to her calmly throughout the encounter, she continued clamming near us but then carried on with the cubs. Although close encounters are intentionally avoided because bears can be unpredictable, Sometimes there is no option to get out of the way. So we remained calm and let the encounter take its course. It’s important to understand this is a Coastal Brown bear that is used to humans being around, she understands we are not a threat. This would play out different with a non habituated bear. If you ever intend on coming to Alaska to see bears on the coast, always hire an experienced guide. Never approach bears under any circumstances. This is a unique situation in this region and I have been around this particular bear and others like her here for over 10 years. Iako je ceo snimak ostavio milione bez daha, Kuper upozorava da posmatranje medveda u divljini nije zabava i da takve trenutke treba prepustiti isključivo iskusnim vodičima.

“Bio je to divan, ali i zastrašujuć trenutak. Osetite njihovu moć i veličinu, ali i shvatite koliko ste mali. Zato je važno da se ne igrate sa divljinom”, zaključio je.
